Next week Dr Rhys Crilley will be representing the Atomic Anxiety project at the United Nations in Geneva.
From Monday 22nd July, states and non-governmental organisations will be meeting for the 2024 Prepatory Committee for the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) at the Palais des Nations where the UN is based in Geneva.
The Preparatory Committee, is where states parties to the NPT meet to address substantive and procedural issues related to the Treaty and the forthcoming Review Conference (due to take place in 2026).
If you want to find out more about the NPT and what will, and should, happen at PrepCom then our project partner Reaching Critical Will have produced a great primer with their 2024 NPT Briefing Book that you can download and read for free.
If you’re attending the 2024 NPT PrepCom and want to meet with Dr Crilley then please do get in touch.
